Patrol Operations Division
The backbone of the organization is the Patrol Operations Division. This is the largest and most visible division within the police department. Our highly trained officers are assigned one of three (3) shifts so we can efficiently and effectively serve the community 24 hours a day. These officers are responsible for patrolling the community, responding to calls for service, investigating complaints, traffic enforcement, and being proactive in crime prevention. Our officers are committed to serving the community, safeguarding lives and property, protecting the innocent against oppression or intimidation, keeping the peace and ensuring the rights of all to liberty, equality and justice.
To better serve the community the department has trained and implemented officers for the following duties; accident reconstruction, drug recognition expert, field training officers, K-9, motor carrier, and motorcycle officers.
